Getting Started (PC/Mac)
Logging in
Before you can start playing World of Warcraft on our server, it’s important to have some settings changed! First go to the folder where you installed World of Warcraft and open the the folder Data. Inside this folder you will find the folder enUS or enGB (depends on the version you downloaded). Now locate realmlist.wtf and right click on it. Go to "Open with" and select Notepad from the list. Replace everything in it with:
set realmlist realm.muppets-on-speed.net
When you have created an account on the website you will be able to login and start playing World of Warcraft.
Creating your character
Creating your character is very easy. From the Create Character screen, select your race and class. These decisions will determine what abilities are available to your character. All of the other options on the character creation screen will help you in customizing your characters appearance in-game, but will not affect your character's abilities or statistics. Note: Keep in mind that Horde and Alliance characters will not be able to play with each other.
You can customize various aspects of your character's appearance. If you prefer the easy way, simply click the "Randomize" button to have the game create a random character for you. You can hit this button several times until it creates a character that you like. There are always possibilities to further customize your character in the game, both in terms of appearance (such as with weapons and armor) and in terms of attributes and skills your character can learn.
Create your character's name. When you finished designing the appearance of your character, it will be time to name your character. This handle will be unique to you on the realm your character resides in. Your character will keep this name for the rest of its playing career, so make sure that you create a name that you can life with. Be aware that we do have naming rules: you do not want to risk having to rename your character or incur other penalties. You may not use any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially offensive, ethnically offensive, or otherwise objectionable language in your name. All such language is inappropriate in conversations, in the naming of characters/guilds/pets, or in any custom content.
Horde vs. Alliance split
The Horde faction is at war with the Alliance to control the power over the world of Warcraft. Horde and Alliance players are unable to form groups with each other, they can neither trade, create guilds together, or even talk to each other. If you have friends you wish to play with, be sure that you select races that are allied with each other. The characters on your account can be of either Horde or Alliance faction, but you and your friends must be of the same faction to play together.
• Horde races: Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead and Blood Elves.
• Alliance races: Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes, Night Elves and Draenei.
